Beautiful 19th century, highly detailed brass elephant with champleve enamel dragon depicted on the elephant's dress. Chimney on elephant's back also has enamel decoration. Hole on underside allows the smoke of burning incense to travel up through the chimney. Amazing details in elephant's face. Great condition for its age. Small brass plate marked "MADE IN JAPAN" added on underside at a much later date for export. Measures 7 inches tall and 6 inches long. Shipped with USPS Mail.
