Description: I bought this ring several years ago as a collector's piece, but am now ready to sell it. In addition to the ring, ring box, and polishing cloth, included will be the original note from the first seller, and the condition remains excellent for the age of this ring. Below is the description from that original listing: "We have a stunning antique 9 carat gold halo ring with a large central table cut faceted amethyst, surrounded by seed pearls. Our goldsmith has assessed this ring as 9 carat gold as there are no marks, and dates it to the late Georgian or early Victorian era by design, setting and gemstone cut. Circa 1800-1840 This amazing ring has at its centre an amethyst that is a pretty lilac colour and measures 10 x 9mm in in size. It is surrounded by 18 beautiful silver white tone seed pearls that are 1.5-2mm each in diameter. There is a further six pearls set three on each shoulder, with a split design creating a reeded band. The head of the ring measures 16 x 13mm in size and sits fairly flush being 4mm above the finger when worn. The stones are all held in a secure crimped colett setting and the ring is in good antique condition commensurate with its age. This beautiful ring is a UK size N.5, USA 7 and EU 54 although it could be sized to fit by a local jeweller. It weighs a total of 3 grams and is a ring that makes quite a statement."
