Description: Antique Late 16th Early 17th Century Italian Stump Work Pillows Set of Three. These are not reproduction. All three are heavily embroidered. Very rarely can you find embroidery of this quality and with such age in this condition.The embroidery comes from Livorno, Italy. The arabesques are intricately embroidered with metal guided thread. The floral embroidered in silk. The backing is cotton/silk. The pillows are in very good condition. I have included details of specific areas for you to see. Everything is intact and there are not repairs or additions to these pillows. They are very sturdy.They are hand-stitched together (please see photo).The backing is solid cotton/velvet as the front with no embroidery.
