Tobias Lotter engraved the maps and eventually took over the business adding his imprint at the bottom of the engravings.This atlas was made up according to customer requests which meant that atlases comprised of various numbers of maps (10, 15, 20 etc.).The number of maps in a particular atlas was then added in manuscript in the space provided on the Title Page.
