Description: Maker: This beautiful cake plate is by the German porcelain firm Paul Mueller of Selb, Bavaria. Design: The lovely pattern - called The Angus - features a thin aqua trim, yellow scrollwork and colorful floral displays against a pure white fine porcelain backdrop. The pattern name The Angus is on the back. Marks: The plate has a green Paul Mueller Selb "pineapple" mark. This mark was used at least until 1917, when the Paul Mueller factory was taken over by Hutschenreuther. Although the brand was retired, Hutschenreuther continued to use some Mueller marks until about 1928. Condition: The plate is in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs or crazing. There is light wear to the gold edge - it's visible in the photos. Size: The plate is 9 3/8 inches wide at the center, 10 1/4 inches wide between the handles and weighs one pound.
