Description: I was told by the previous owner that this open salt belonged to her Grandmother, who kept cigarettes in it on her coffee table!! She was not sure of the origin of the piece but I believe it is French or Italian and it is in EXCELLENT condition with no chips or cracks but minor wear to the hand painted gold stripe accents (see photo 4!!)!! I believe it dates from the early 1900's!! Approx. 2" high X 3.5" from handle to handle X 1 5/8" in size!! Please see my many other antique and collectible listings and email me with any questions!!
