Description: Antique stoneware preserve jar, canning crock or wax sealer unmarked. Measures 8.5" tall x 4 3/4" across the base x 3 3/4" wide at the rim. There are a few small old flea bites or glaze pops as shown(magnified for better viewing). The glaze is deeper and darker than the photos could capture, along the lines of a dark grey with hint of olive green in certain light. The potter left three clay globs on the bottom from time of firing. Unusual glaze color. No cracks or major damage that I can see. Inside is quite clean. Lovely piece with texture, with same color glaze on the inside and red clay showing through. See photos, all sides shown. Thanks for looking!
