Description: A beautiful circa 1836-42 Staffordshire brown transfer platter in the "Japan Flowers" pattern by Ridgway, Morley, Wear & Co. The pattern/maker initials are marked on the back. This is a very nice Japanese inspired pattern with large central vase of flowers and a lovely border of floral/shell designs and gazebos. Measures 15" by 12 1/4" and is about 1 1/4" deep. Condition is excellent. There are no chips or cracks and no repairs. The glaze is shiny with no discoloration and fine, light normal glaze crazing as expected. There is virtually no glaze wear, even along the outside edge of the rim. Satisfaction Guaranteed! ***Please check my UPS and USPS shipping rates as they can vary quite a bit.
