Description: This listing is for the old booklet and a small newspaper clipping that you see in the photos. I purchased it at an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told it's history. It is an original booklet that I have not been able to find on the internet. There are minor there are modern reprints but I have not found an original booklet. It is a fourth edition published in 1920 by the Star Bulletin Press in Honolulu. I am guessing that it is scarce or rare.I used a yard stick to gently hold the pages open for taking photos. It is not included in the listing. The pages are numbered up to page 31. There are six illustrations. The covers measure close to 5 by 6 7/8 inches. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. it is generally in good condition with signs of age and use. A tiny bit of the cover over the spine is missing. There is a water stain and other stains on the back cover. The first and the last blank pages are relatively thick compared to the other pages and if they have vertical wrinkles in them that I am guessing are from them being bent. Or, maybe they are flaws in the paper. I found 10 lightly penciled check marks in the margins. One of those check marks has a small penciled notation near it. The pages of text are an off white light brown color that is a little uneven. I think that they may have been darkened by age. There is also some foxing. For some reason, one side of several of the bottom corners of some of the first pages up to page 18 are a lighter color than the the rest of the pages. There are no torn or loose pages. Otherwise, this booklet is generally as shown.I guarantee this booklet to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. I allow two business days for shipping, but I usually ship the same or next day if possible. Please note that the lighting in my photos is uneven, and there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors; different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs "approximately" because no measurements are exact, and some things are difficult to measure.I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied. I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation. I sometimes purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often, but not always, ship the same or next day. Often, I have a double-walled box custom made for larger items, which might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually made from biodegradable materials. Please email me with any questions or suggestions. I do not ship on weekends, and I might not be available to answer emails on weekends. Thanks for looking at my ad.
