Camden, New Jersey, Copyright 1938 Includes Victor records and Victor Red Seal Records sections, with biographical sketches of artists and opera plots Artists include Marian Anderson, Enrico Caruso, Pablo Casals, Ezio Pinza, Lily Pons, Rosa Ponselle, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Arthur Rubinstein. The catalog is in good condition overall. Thee are some scuffs to the covers and a tiny tear at the top of the spine. A name is written on the front and back covers, as well as the title page and back blank page. Otherwise, the biding is tight and the pages in good shape aside from some age tanning. A word about this collection: This and the other antique music catalogs and books that we are listing all came from the same collector, who by all accounts was dedicated to collecting records and music ephemera throughtout his life. We never met the man, but have pieced together a portrait based on what we found when we purchased the lot. He was a prolific walker in his early days - a New York Times article from the early 1950s describes the then 18-year-old crossing the entire country on foot, beginning in the Bronx and working odd jobs along the way. In later life he often traveled by train to reach record stores, and the collection of books shows that he started in the 1950s and kept going up until his death a few years ago. All items appear to be original, and though some are not dated the collection as a whole bears the stamp of authenticity. * Please review all of the pictures and feel free to ask questions.
