Description: This is an original antique (early 20th century) 8 gallon Red Wing stoneware crock with crisp, bold markings on the front including a big 6" inch wing, union oval, and patent marking on the side near the handle. Condition is very good. There are a few chips (one larger and a couple tiny flakes along the bottom edge, and one on a handle) and one faint hairline on the inside surface that doesn't go through. The glaze is smooth, shiny, and even. There might be a few marks on the surface from use, but it is really pristine! The wire parts of the handles have some surface rust, one of the wood handle pieces has been replaced, and both have some wear to the paint. The crock measures 14 1/2" in diameter x 15 3/4" H and will be packed securely, double boxed, and fully insured during shipping.
