Description: Antique vintage early Westinghouse Electric & Mfg Co. No. 1Y57 Unipivot Galvanometer electric meter, coil no. 2927, in working condition, needle moves smoothly throughout range but bounces around a bit due to the 'unipivot' type mechanism. Invented in 1903 by Robert Paul as noted by 'Paul's Patent' on dial face. . Made of cast aluminum and brass 4-1/4" X 5" not including terminals, weighs approx 2 lbs 10 oz. . . With some ISSUES - only 1 screw holding top is here, front nameplate missing, and I put in 2 washers in back to hold movement in place. Note last photo - I put in a small piece of cardboard for the 'Clamp for Transit' to hold needle down for shipping. Selling as-is, perhaps will fit your collection or you need some parts.
