Description: Up for sale is an Antique White Onyx Marble Mantle Clock, from Europe, it was suggested France? WORKS, Chimes on the hour. The clock was brought from Europe when my friends parents moved back to America. He inherited the clock many years ago. It does have age ware, as shown in the pictures. Very heavy clock, The bottom does look like it has been replaced at some point with wood (see last picture). No key. On the inside the brass workings are marked "A1", "1137", & "3 1 4 8". The accents are bronze or brass as well as the interior. Very old piece! It works, and chimes, the chime is a soft ding. The clock needs a very good cleaning! Sold as shown please view pictures and ask questions before buying. The clock measures approx. 10 1/2" long x 9 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" deep.
