Description: WHAT YOU ARE BUYING/BIDDING ON #41179 Late 20th Century George III Armoire by the English Cabinetmaker Arthur Brett. A two piece case made from mahogany with panels of crotch mahogany, cross banding and inlay. The upper portion showcases beautiful flame mahogany doors, oval crossbanding, raised trim and a crown with dentil molding. Interior opens to a television compartment which could also be modified to be used with hanging clothes. Once open the beautifully burled doors can be displayed or slid into the back of the cabinet. Lower portion of the cabinet had two over two dovetailed drawer construction with oval brass hardware and recessed brass key escutcheons. Upper two drawer fronts flip open, perfect for TV / Stereo Component. The cabinet is supported by flared legs outside of serpentine cut aprons.
