Description: Atari 2600 PlusCart(+)WiFi multigame cartridge for the Atari 2600 (Original) [Not yet compatible with emulated systems… i.e. 2600+, Gamestation Pro, RETRON 77, etc.] This is a fantastic cartridge the connects your Atari 2600 to WiFi and the PlusCart(+) servers. Play just about every game made for the 2600 including Homebrews, Demos, DPC+ bB, many more… High Score Club: register your high scores and compete online! What you get: One tested and encased PlusCart(+). The cartridge has been tested and working on my WiFi with an original 2600 on a CRT television. The 3d printed case is functional and protects the pcb, you may want to use your own doner cartridge to re-case it. Case color will vary! You must have WiFi and be able to connect to the PlusCart(+) servers From the developer: The Atari 2600 PlusCart is based on Robin Edwards Unocart-2600 , and the extensions of DirtyHairy's fork. The PlusCart has no SD-Card, but an ESP8266 to connect to a local WiFi Network and the Internet. The PlusCart downloads the ROM-files from an Server in the Internet called the "PlusStore". The way this is done is similar to the way the Unocart-2600 loads ROMs from the FAT filesystem on the SD-card, while the VCS is performing a waitroutine in RAM.Additionally the PlusCart has one more interesting feature. It offers internet access to the ROM Developers, these functions are called "PlusROM". In the first bytes of a PlusROM the path and the backend hostname or IP address has to be encoded (as strings both terminated by '\0'). Sending and receiving bytes to the host does not need a waitroutine in the VCS RAM!
