These playing cards were produced from original negatives by famed photographer Charles Martin Conlon and then colorized for a dynamic, finished product. Cards are regular playing card size (2-1/4" by 3-1/2") or slightly smaller than standard post-1956 trading cards. They fit perfectly in 9-pocket sheets or regular toploader semi-hard holders. The cards were issued by The Sporting News as part of the Conlon Collection BASEBALL IMMORTALS exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution. While some advertise the cards as being of 1973 vintage, they actually were issued in 1984.
