This is the vinyl version of the BEE GEES' incredible limited edition release from 2006, featuring6 VINYL LPs (in 3 deluxe gatefold jackets) and a mind-blowing 36-page full color booklet with an outstanding narrative written by BEE GEES' scholar, Andrew Sandoval. Yes, this is the VINYL version, not the CD set. This vinyl version was hard-to-come by upon release in 2006, and now it's about as RARE as hen's teeth. Over the years, these Box Sets that I've seen listed for sale online are scooped up almost immediately, and for small fortunes! The Box Set features the first three albums released by the BEE GEES in 1967-68. BEE GEES 1st HORIZONTAL and IDEA These three releases are each featured in two-record gatefold sets with loads of alternate takes, demos, early versions and unreleased songs....along with a remastered stereo version of each official album release. And each set is highlighted with the original UK jacket cover designs (significantly different on Horizontal and Idea...see photos). The Box Set features premium HQ-180 (180 gram) vinyl pressings from RTI Record Technology! The grading of the records are all MINT (like new), and the Box, Jackets and booklet are also MINT. (I would actually grade the record jackets for Horizontal and Idea as M- due to some minor scuffs in the jackets from rubbing together in the box. Once I secured this new set in 2010, I put each album in its own protective cover. There is also a 1 1/2 inch seam split at the top of the Horizontal jacket. This was already there when I bought the set, probably due to some shifting and storage problems right after manufacture. None of these things deter from the incredible looks of this very handsome set! No wonder it earned a Grammy for Archival Reissue. I can't tell you what a magical set of music this is from the PRE-DISCO BEE GEES. When the world was their oyster! And all the early hits are here (see song listings in photos). I am massively disappointed to have to sell this set, but it will soon make another BEE GEES fan VERY HAPPY! I am liquidating my extensive Box Set collection due to medical issues. BUY THIS BOX SET RIGHT NOW, you won't see very many of these in Ebay listings. And we are not charging an arm and a leg for this set (it was expensive when it was IN PRINT, which was long ago)....you can buy it for a great price. AND...we will pick up the postage!!
