Author Biography The author has worked in schools for over thirty years in various roles (teacher, special needs co-ordinator, deputy head, multiagency worker etc.) in Ireland, Kenya and England. Having originally qualified as a primary school teacher in Ireland, she worked as a volunteer secondary school teacher in Northern Kenya and in schools, special (SEBD) school and a multiagency team in England before completing her doctorate in education at the University of Southampton, England.
