Description: Voucher of 0.50 DEM (Deutsche Mark) which can be used in the area of the city of Travnik and its surroundings. Such vouchers of nominal value 0.10 and 0.20, 5 and 10 DEM are quite rare in any condition, and in UNC condition they are extremely rare and only a very small number of copies are known. Banknotes in denominations of 0.5, 1 and 2 DEM are quite common and are available in UNC quality. This 0.50 voucher that you have the opportunity to buy is guaranteed to be original. I mention this because there are bad counterfeits of all denominations of these vouchers that were created after the war in Bosnia and are always in UNC quality. There are at least four types of serial numbers on these vouchers. You can see details about it in the third picture of this post. There are also different types of stamps on the back. Look at the fifth and sixth pictures of the post. Note: In the war period 1992-1995, many local issues of paper money were used in Bosnia and Herzegovina because some areas were surrounded so that official BiH money could not be delivered to those enclaves. Vouchers with a nominal value expressed in Deutsche Mark were mostly used because that money was a symbol of stability and enjoyed full confidence among the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For this reason, these editions could be very interesting for collectors from Germany, but also for all true lovers of war notaphilia. More information about Bosnian war money expressed in Deutsche Mark you can see in the last two pictures of this post.
