Description: Description Bruno Walter Wiener Philharmoniker Mahler Symphony No.2 SACD Hybrid JAPANProduct introduction Bruno Walter first conducted the Vienna Philharmonic on January 21, 1907, at a concert to commemorate Otto Nicolai. Since then, he has conducted 189 concerts on May 29, 1960, until the opening concert of Vienna Arts Week, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mahler. Walter, who visited Vienna at a young age and was fascinated by the unusual sound of the Vienna Philharmonic, praises the sound that has remained unchanged for more than half a century as a gift of the Philharmonic's tradition. In 1975, Japan's CBS Sony (then) performed various performances with Walter and Vienna Philharmonic in Vienna and Salzburg after World War II after five years of negotiations with the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) and Decca. From the live recording of the meeting, we released the sound source for 4 LPs only for sale in Japan, and caused a sensation because of the fulfillment of the performance content. DSD mastering of all the sound sources from the 38 cm monaural analog master provided by ORF for the first time in 18 years.
