Vintage Birmingham Stove & Range (BSR) Red Mountain Series #8 cast iron skillet in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, repairs or other damage Restored and lightly seasoned, sits flat on a glasstop stove, no spin, rock or wobble. Measures 10½" in diameter and 15" in diameter to the end of the handle. Early model with small pours and marked 8HH. PLEASE NOTE: This item has been stripped to bare metal in a lye bath, restored to condition by either vinegar, citric acid bath or electrolysis, and lightly seasoned with one coat of a blend of beeswax and pure leaf lard. Because this item has been in storage in a dry but not completely climate controlled environment, some very light surface oxidation may have occurred in spots. This is easily removed with a good mildly abrasive scrub from something like steel wool or an SOS pad. There is nothing wrong or harmful, it's just the nature of cast iron.
