Also for CM200D, CM300D, XPR2500. Length = 5 feet. 20-pin latching connector at radio end, blunt other end. Connect the radio's main power leads to a constant (unswitched) power source. Connect this plug's single red lead to a fused ignition source and program the radio to enable the ignition control feature. Radio will turn on & off automatically when vehicle is turned on & off. Connect the 2-conductor gray cable to an external speaker. Do not ground either side of the speaker. Application Notes: This plug's gray speaker cable does not have to be hooked up to a speaker immediately at time of installation. It can be coiled up and saved for future use (in this case, ensure the ends of the speaker leads remain insulated from each other, and from ground, until connected to an external speaker). The radio's internal speaker will remain active at full loudness with this plug connected to the radio, until the gray cable is connected to an external speaker. At that time, most of the receive audio will be directed to the external speaker and it will be much louder than the internal speaker, although the internal speaker will still be faintly audible (internal speaker loudness will vary dependant upon external speaker impedance). The internal speaker may be completely disconnected, if desired, by unplugging it inside the radio.
