Description: Choose from Antique Chinese Bowls and a Plate consisting of: (A) 11" by 4.25" tall Bowl, weighing 3 #, 12 oz. before packaging, Circa 1628-1643, Ming Dynasty, Chung chen (from the collection of Wei Ng.) A 3" crack and 1.25" crack. The cracks are extremely tight, with only the long one slightly catching a finger nail only at the very top. Normal glazing defects. Hand painted. No crazing. (B) 10.75" by 4.75" Bowl, weighing 4#, 11 oz. before packaging. Circa 1735-1795, Ming Dynasty pattern, Ching Dynasty Chien Lung (from the Wei Ng collection.) Wide rim crack. Normal glazing defects. Beautiful hand painted cobalt blue designs. No crazing. (C) 9-1/8" by 4" tall Bowl, weighing 2 #, 5 oz. before packaging. Circa 1628-1643, Ming Dynasty Chung chen (from the Wei Ng collection). Normal glazing defects. Hand painted blue designs. No crazing. (D) 9-5/8ths" by 1.75" tall Plate, weighing 1 #, 10 oz. before packaging. Circa 1821-1850, Ching Dynasty Tao Kuang Period (from the Wei Ng collection.) Normal glazing defects. Nice hand painted blue design. No crazing. When making an offer, please identify the piece by its size and alphabetical designation above. When scanning the photos, the first photo of an item shows the tag and the last photo of that item is the bottom. When you consider the primitive firing methods used with these old pieces, you can understand the glazes are never defect free, although I believe these glazes are much harder than those found on modern tableware. These all came from an antique store in Evanston, Illinois called Alaeddin's Lamp specializing in Asian antiquities which went out of business about 20 years ago, with the store contents auctioned off by Dunnings of Elgin, Illinois shortly thereafter. The store's original price and information tags accompany the items. Since I know little about these bowls, I leave it to the buyer to determine the age and makers of same.
