Description: This is a beautiful knife!!! It’s a handmade knife by renowned knifemaker Chris Peterson based in Salina, Utah. He forges all of his own steel and each blade has 1200 layers of steel in it. He uses O1 tool steel and A36 mild for his Damascus knives. He’s also made knives with meteorite, I’m not sure if he used any meteorite on this particular knife. This knife has a visible temper line, fileworked spine, with a full tapered tang construction. The handle has nickel silver bolsters, Buffalo horn scales with red liners. Comes with a beautiful brown leather Sheath that Chris’s wife hand makes. This knife has some wear, patina and oxidation. On the spine at about the 3rd serration you will see a crack forming on the spine. I think a good cleaning and polishing would really make this piece of art stand out more.
