Christy Safety Razor PILOT MODEL Single Edge in Original Box VINTAGE 1930-40s

For your consideration is vintage 1930’s – 1940’s CHRISTY RAZOR - PILOT MODEL single edge safety razor in the original box. There are no instructions or manufacturer’s advertisement inserts in the box. The razor was manufactured by “THE CHRISTY COMPANY” in “FREMONT, OHIO” as clearly printed on the inside of the box lid. This shaving razor came from my uncle’s estate and has been used as a static display inside a curio cabinet for many years. At the time, I was advised this razor was his while he was in the service during WWII and Korea. I never had reason or cause to doubt the origin story relayed to me and the razor original box and advertised prices on the lid all appear to be of that era, so I believe this piece to be a minimum of 75 to 80+ years old. This vintage razor is made out of stainless steel and weighs approximately 2.0 ounces inside the box. The safety razor is made out of stainless steel and has overall measurements of approximately 4.0” long, 1.50” wide (at the top) and .25” in diameter on the knurled handle. The safety razor is stainless steel but does have a few scattered surface blemishes from age and prior use in its distant past. The knurled handle provides a firm secure grip when held in the hand. Overall, this is a nice example of a light weight and effective vintage safety razor that was being used back in the day. Refer to all the description photos for more details about the razor and what I have described. The factory box remains intact and structurally sound. There are no split corners and/or repairs as can be verified in the description photos. The outside of the box has acquired minor surface blemishes, scattered staining and age spots from genuine age and handling over the past decades but none of which are what you wouldn’t expect to see on a genuine vintage piece like this. The underside of the box top (lid) is printed with (9) nine lines of manufacturer’s product information and reads as follows below.
