Description: General Gilman Marston, a native iof Exeter, New Hampshire was a notable citizen- In 1861 he recruited the 2nd New Hampshire Volunteers, and led them at Bull Run where he was severely wounded .He survived and led his command from the 1862 Richmond Campaign, at Fredericksburg where he was promoted to Brigadier General.
