Description: This listing is for two (2) vintage CLUB ANRI Woodcarvings by Sarah Kay in the Valentine series entitled "Young Man's Fancy" #9 and "Shy Girl" #7, others call the two together as "The Proposal", with one tag. As you can see this pair is an old-fashioned grouping with the young man bowing before the girl with a bouquet of flowers behind his back and the young girl with her hair on top of her head, a beautiful long dress, and her finger to her face as to appear shy. Ideal as gifts for collectors. They are 4" tall. RARE. SWEET. Original boxes not included. Anri Woodcarvings began over 100 years ago by Anton Riffeser. His family began carving in the 1600's. ANRI was started in 1912. "The artisans of ANRI are, in many cases, descendants of several generations of wood carvers, all of whom take great personal pride in their work." Some of the wood they use to carve are Maple and Alpine Pine. Each figurine is carved and painted by hand making each piece a "one-of-a-kind". Check out my other items!
