Colin Powell Signed Vintage Color Photo & Letter, General And Secretary Of State

Description: This vintage 8” x 10” color photo captures a momentous time in American politics with Colin Powell former Secretary Of State under George W Bush from 2001-2005. The photo was taken when Powell served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton (Oct 1, 1989-Sept 30, 1993). In addition to rising to the highest rank of General of US Army during his many years of service in the military (1958-1993), Powell served as US Security Advisor under President Ronald Reagan (Nov 23, 1987-Jan 20, 1989). Also included with the photo is a thank you letter to a former veteran of WWII, dated March 16, 1993 with the embossed seal of the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff. Both the photo and letter are hand signed in black ink by Colin Powell and are a must-have for any political enthusiast. Overall condition of the photo and letter are in very nice with some minor smearing of both signatures. Please enlarge and review all photos as they are part of the description.
