Description: Exotic Curly Katalox Wood Electric/Bass Guitar Drop Top Set, each slice about 8 wide, 23 long, sanded to about 0.150 thick. Note I have circled several open checks that will require fill. The extreme harness of this wood(janka greater than 3K caused these cracks in the drying process. There are more checks than I have circled(they are very hard to see in this very dark wood), so some extra work is required. please supersize pics.Wood is really a darker purple color than the pics to my eye, 2nd pic is wetted with mineral spirits that captures color better, but the 60 grit sanded surface obscures figure and defects when wetted. I do wonder if filling the checks with a very red colored epoxy might make some really color contrasting lines
