Description: This is DEEP PURPLE Shades of Deep Purple LP on Tetragrammaton Records T-102. This is a 1968 USA first pressing with silver label withblue/turquoise Tetragrammaton logo. Side I/II in Roman characters. No number on back cover indicates Pitman pressing. Tight shrink with no tears and "HUSH" hype sticker. Bottom line here is that you won't find a better cover but you will need to upgrade the vinyl. The COVER NM I don't use NM very often but this is a great cover. Full, tight shrink with no tears. Hype sticker features "HUSH" Has shelf wear.Front center has a ding(see photo). Minor foxing inside gatefold. Not a modern reissue jacket. It's made of the heavy, grey American style cardboard of 1968. Not the later flimsy white cardstock. This is a survivor. There are no delete marks or cut outs. No tape. The back is not yellowed, still very white. Most original copies have a number on the back to indicate the pressing plant. This one has no number to indicate Pitman. This information and more can be found on Discogs. This is Discogs release r8751467. The matrix on side 1 has a stamped P with 7707 o D-4 LL-DCT. Side 2 is the same with 7708. The VINYL VG- Play graded both sides. Looks VG- and sounds VG . Numerous light, unfeelable scratches and scuffs that can be heard in between songs and occasionally during the music. A lot of crackle that is mostly overpowered by the music during the songs. No loud pops or ticks. No loud, repetitive ticking. No jumps or skips, not even close. It is playable but not the most enjoyable listening experience. You will need a vinyl upgrade.. Checked it for any warping and there are no issues. Not for audiophiles. The last photo is some notes I was taking while listening. The LABELS VG has some spindle trails No writing. The SLEEVE VG generic plain paper, probably original. All records will be mailed in sturdy, recycled record specific mailer boxes with extra padding. Disc will be removed from jacket to eliminate splitting caused by transit shifting. I use USPS Media mail. I am happy to combine shipping. The first album is $5.50. Up to 3 more, free. Lower 48 US states sales only, no international, sorry.
