Dell XPS M170: XP Pro, PM 760, 2 GB RAM, 60 GB HDD, ATI X300, WUXGA

Description: Selling a Dell XPS M170. I have restored this M170 to its former glory by repasting the CPU and GPU, and replacing its notoriously unreliable NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra (which had failed) with an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 from a Dell Inspiron 9300. The result is a retro gaming laptop that has sacrificed a bit of performance, but has gained loads of reliability in return. I have also added a hard drive with Windows XP Professional on it, and I have installed all drivers and updates. I have included MyPal 68 to help browse the modern web, and I have included Microsoft Plus! For Windows XP as well. Specs:Intel Pentium M 760 @2.00 GHz60 GB IDE HDD Windows XP Professional SP3 with all updates2 GB DDR2 RAM @533 MHzATI Mobility Radeon X300 GPU (128 MB VRAM)WUXGA Screen (1920 x 1200 resolution)Fixed Bay Device is a DVD-RW. The battery in this M170 is NO GOOD and will NOT power the laptop. However, I can include a Dell PA-7E 210W power adapter for $20 extra. This M170 requires a Dell PA-13 (130W) or greater power adapter. Issues:Palmrest has a small crack in the bottom center, it is hard to notice. I have included a picture to show it.SD Card slot does not work, it might just be dirty, I tried reinstalling XP to address the issue but it is definitely a hardware issue. Overall this M170 has been restored to functionality again, it's not perfect but it is a pretty clean example of one, and it should be ready for the next owner to use for years to come!
