Description: Here is a vintage fiberglass or plastic hard hat from the Mining Safety Appliances company of Pittsburg. The label inside has a patent date from 1933 so it's likely depression era, I think it says size 7 1/2 but doesn't have any inner bands to set on the head though it has a ring of holes along the bottom to attach something. It's brown on the inside, the outside is more black but it looks like greens, reds, whites are showing up in use marks all across it, painted black maybe by the original company, not sure. It's about 10.5 inches across and 12.25 inches long on the brim. The item winner is to pay for the shipping charge ebay sets there, if you get more than one thing try to use the 'add to cart' button instead of the 'buy it now' one as sometimes that way the computers can figure out the postage savings automatically....still though sometimes we just have to do it later. Anyhow, I'm just an easy going farmer so if you aren't happy with the item, no big deal, just let me know. We are forced to use managed payments now and I'm not sure how that works so I guess the payment stuff is at your end.
