Description: This is a pretty nice original heavy cast brass Detroit Lubricator drip oiler in the "5" size. It is the older "wing nut" style. It is about 3 1/8 inches in diameter and about 7 1/2 inches tall overall. It has a vent tube as can be seen which means if was intended to oil the cylinder of a gas engine. It has 3/8" npt pipe threads that are in great shape. The original filler plug is there which is almost always missing. It has some minor wear overall but has great original patina! The reservoir glass looks to be in good shape and after some cleaning, the addition of a lower glass and gaskets it should be ready to be used on your project. These old style wing nut Detroit's are pretty tough to find. It would be a nice way to top off any engine that needs a nice oiler. It would even make a great spare on the shelf.
