Description: 1995 Disneyland 40th Anniversary Promotional Poster Signed by 3 Disney Legends. This poster/print was one of four issued with each poster/print containing 10 photos and each photo representing a year and event that occurred in that year. The promotion was exclusive to Kodak and a California Drug & Retail Chain. This is the second in the series and covers the years 1965 through 1974. It is special in that I had it signed by 3 Disney Imagineering Legends (Bob Gurr, Blaine Gibson, and Harriet Burns) who worked directly with Walt Disney in creating and designing Disneyland and many of its original rides and attractions. I had it signed by them at a Disney Collector show held in Anaheim, Ca. in 1995. The poster/print has a high gloss finish and measures 16.5" L X 20,5" W. It is in "Like new" condition. It will be shipped rolled and placed in a shipping tube for mailing. Bob Gurr joined Disney Imagineering in 1954. During his almost 30 year career at Imagineering Bob created over 100 designs for attractions that included the Disneyland Monorail, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Autopia cars, the memorable Flying Saucers, original Abraham Lincoln audio-animatronics figure, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, as well as the Carousel of Progress and Magic Skyway at the N.Y. Worlds Fair. In 2004 the Disney Company honored Bob naming him a Disney Legend. On March 3, 2008 Disney bestowed upon Bob the ultimate and most rare honor of all by placing his name on a window on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland. This honor has been bestowed on only a select few. Blaine Gibson joined Disney in 1939 as an Assistant Animator on Pinocchio and continued working on animated features up to and including 101 Dalamtions. In 1954 he started doing projects for Disney Imagineering on his spare time, joining them permanently in 1961. He headed the sculpting department and was responsible for most of the presidents, ghosts, and pirates heads. He also worked as a sculptor on the N.Y. Worlds Fair Abe Lincoln, Carousel of Progress, and Small World attractions. His statue "Partners" graces the hub at the end of Main Street in front of the Castle at Disneyland. He retired in 1983 and in 1993 was honored by Disney as a "Disney Legend". In 1992 Blaine was honored with a window on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland. This honor has been bestowed on only a select few. Harriet Burns was the first female Disney Imagineer and one of the original Imagineers that worked on Disneyland before it was built. She created working models for many of Disneylands most famous attractions including Sleeping Beauty Castle, Storybook Land, Pirates of the Caribbean, It's a Small World, to name just a few. She also created the scale working models for the attractions provided for the N.Y. Worlds Fair. After her retirement she was honored by the Disney Company as a Disney Legend. In 1992 Harriet was honored with a window on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland. This honor has been bestowed on only a select few.
