Description: Please read the condition notes first, then come here, while remembering that I am giving my opinion. I can't officially grade anything. I found this at a webpage entitled "A comprehensive coin grading guide": VERY GOOD (VG):Most of the 'major' details can be clearly read, but it is a coin that's suffered considerable wear over the whole of both surfaces and its high spots are worn through. A coin in this condition is only of value if it is extremely rare. I think my coin only has "considerable" wear in that one black spot--thus, it is VG. Even with it's ugly spot, I consider this coin still much better than the coin linked to below which recently sold and I think may have been cleaned. There are numerous parallel light short scratches on the obverse (heads side)--a common indicator of cleaning. You can see this coin by clicking the link I have added: An otherwise nice coined ruined by cleaning? Still priced and sold at $10. I have priced my coin at $12.99 + $0.69 shipping. Not many Edwardian shillings sell for under $15.
