Description: Very substantial Continental dress cane from around 1900. It's 36.75" in length, weighs just under a pound, and the handle is 4"X 2.5". The gold filled horse shoe handle is covered in glittery shamrock designs, and the end cap rocks. The ebony shaft feels like iron (heart wood ?), and ebonized. There is not a mark. The bi-metal ferrule has only the slightest signs of touching the ground. This was a high end cane that was turned into a dedication with the addition of three initials. Please see my other listings.
