Description: On offer, we have a restrike etching by American western artist Edward Borein. Borein (1872-1945) was an award winning artist famous for his depictions of Spanish Colonial California, The Old West, and Mexico. He was a much loved resident of Santa Barbara, Ca.. Unable to find this print online, I've named it myself. This looks like tired cowboys riding home after a long day on the range. On thin paper, this measures approximately 9 1/2" X 12 1/4" with the image 5" X 8". The etching is in dark brown/black ink on a tan toned background. My understanding is that a restrike is from the original plate, but not from the first printings. This print in pristine condition. The etching is bold, clear and clean. As I am not an expert on art, please view my photographs for more description. My elegant friend is moving to a much smaller home and parting with some of her treasures.
