Description: This is an original self-titled vinyl LP album by Emitt Rhodes (former member of the bands The Palace Guard and The Merry Go Round), released in 1970. Amazingly, Emmitt pulled this off by himself (playing all the instruments in addition to all vocals) at 20 years of age which was quite a feat (outside a Beatle such as Paul McCartney who also released a solo self played/recorded album the same year). Sadly, after this LP, ABC/Dunhill put pressure on Emitt for several more albums in quick succession which was nearly impossible for one person. This created pressure, resentment and eventually the downfall of his recording career. A must for anyone who likes Beatlesque/McCartney styled original pop. This is an original Dunhill pressing with “Recorded At Home” etched into the deadwax. Plays through without major issues. Not near mint but still an enjoyable play.
