Description: Up today we have a killer Epiphone 84 Explorer. These have become quit rare and hard to find as they are no longer being made. This guitar has only had 2 owners, one before me, and then me. I've kept the guitar mainly as a collector's item, and it's been cared for and well maintained. When not in use, it has been kept in it's case. You're not gonna find these in this condition these days, most are beat up, or have stress cracks at the nut and neck pocket. Guitar is stamped "2nd" on the back of the headstock. Only reason I could find for this was there is some light white over spray on the edge of the fretboard on the first fret. Also, the nut on the bass side, doesn't set quit flush. It does on the treble side. Guitar plays perfect, and the strings line up exactly how they should. Only mods I've done to this guitar is I added an extra strap pin on the back. This solved the neck dive issue, they guitars had with having the strap pin on the upper horn. I've left that one there, so you can decide which one to use, or you can go back and forth. These are killer playing and sounding guitars, and are about the only way to get that classic James Hetfield look, and sound on a budget. Compared to the Gibson version of this, the neck profile is very similar, so epiphone done a great job with these! Guitar features Active Emg 81/85 pickups, and Grover tuners. Comes with matching Epiphone Hardshell explorer case. Case is in great shape as well, with minor wear from being moved around. All latches work as they should.
