Description: Amazing large French Coopers adze with an 1842 date! Definitely blacksmith made with lots of design marks. One of the pics shows a crack around the eye of the adze, I think it's the fold where the blacksmith closed the eye. I don't know if the handle is original, but even if it isn't, it's still an old handle. Overall, a great tool!
