Fossati oboes are among the finest oboes being made, and the A is one of their premium models. The Fossati A takes the broad S Fossati head but the body is thicker, which gives it a very round and soft sound. The simple design of the bore and the tone hole allows musicians to be guided by the instrument. The A-Plus takes the A even further, with ergonomic improvements and additional adjustment screws to get the action exquisitely dialed in. This instrument features all the bells and whistles, including left hand F, left and right hand Eb and Ab, 3rd octave key, forked F vent, Bb vent, Articulated B-C#, Gillet key, Split ring D, Ab-Bb key, D-C# trill key, cork pads, double tenon ring, and platinum plated keys. This particular instrument is in mint condition - it is one of a few that were displayed at this year's IDRS. This oboe has had very little playing time, and is in like new condition.
