After Monroe's untimely death in 1962 this accusation seemed a bit wild as there was no proof that Monroe and Bobby Kennedy were involved with each other. This all changed in 2016 when a letter from Bobby's younger sister Jean Kennedy Smith was located and sold at auction:"Understand that you and Bobby are the new item," and "We all think you should come with him when he comes back East!"After the publicaton of this book, it is now known that Bobby Kennedy, the Attorney General, had Capell's phone tapped. Capell was widely known as a conspiracy theorist and anticommunist activist. With the benefit of hindsight, his case in the matter seems a bit sensational, but remains compelling nonetheless.
