Description: This is a lovely Antique German Baby and the baby is marked Made in German 99/14. This number was by Hertel Schwab & Co. made sometimes for Koenig & Wernicke, and the baby is about 26 inches tall. The bisque head is perfect with eyes that are set and have no rockers but the eyes are the original., Nice wobble tongue . The gown the baby is wearing is antique and very very nice, and a nice full under gown. the wig is the original and I had to remove it to look into head and did leave a little bit of residue from the wig on the back of the head. Her composition body is the original and is a nice composition baby body. There is a little crack that was filled in on the one arm near the wrist, It looks like the hands have some touch up red finger line on the hands and I have show it. The body is marked Made In Germany. There is a original cloth tape that goes around the waist which probably had a cry box, but may not be in the body. The baby is a large life size doll, sometimes these dolls were used as mannequin for baby clothes in shops. The head is 16 inches in circumference. Please look at the pictures.
