GL1000 Carb Button Repair Kit - For 1975-1979 GoldWing Carburetor Caps

Description: BEWARE OF THE CHINA KNOCKOFFS THAT LOOK JUST LIKE MY BUTTONS. This is a repair kit for the 1975-1979 carb cap button tops. The kit includes four plastic buttons, a plastic press tool, four button sealing rings, instructions and four nylon washers that optionally can be optionally installed around the slide shaft to help protect your slides from metal-to-metal contact. The sealing rings I am currently shipping are blue, but the color does not matter as the button covers the ring. The original buttons on most GL1000 carbs are brittle and have tiny cracks. This kit provides you with new buttons and a helpful tool to help you install them, but you need to have good repair skills to do the job. You also need an arbor press or similar hand press. You might be able to use a drill press with something flat installed in the chuck. You will also need to buy a tube of JB Plastic Bonder or similar product at your local hardware store. Please look closely at the cross section picture. My button is on the left and an original Honda button is on the right. I made the plastic slightly thicker in the spot where the original usually cracks. I made these buttons using acetal pellets and a plastic injection machine. They are high quality and I believe the original buttons were also made out of acetal. The sealing rings were printed on a 3D printer and made out of TPU. The 1x11mm nylon washers were purchased from another seller on eBay. The buyer accepts all risks that could be associated with these items including the materials used to make them.
