GODZILLA (1998) 35MM FEATURE FILM PRINT -SCOPE- French Optical

Description: Here we have a wonderful print of the 1998 film Godzilla starring Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno, and Maria Pitillo. Directed by Roland Emmerich.Film comes on seven yellow plastic reels.Film is complete with beginning and ending credits. Opens up with TriStar graphic then Centropolis Ent. graphic into beginning titles.Ends with Tristar Logo at the end of the credits. This print is French Canadian so the optical Soundtrack is dubbed in French. However I do have the English DTS discs which will be included with the package. If you are not familiar with DTS, this is the digital soundtrack encoded next to the optical soundtrack and with a DTS system you would be able to reproduce the original English tracks. Opening titles and titles throughout the film are in French. Upon initial inspection I only noted Two splices in the entire film. One right in the first thirty seconds of Reel 3 and then one splice 8 1/2 minutes into Reel 4. Both are well done and hold up fine. No frames are missing.Reel 3 is the only reel that is a little rough and seems to have taken on some water damage at some point. However it rolls off of itself fine and there has been no peeling of any cells and the damage is very minimal. Only effects the image slightly with some spots here and there for about half the reel. Projected fine for me.All reels have Heads and Tails loosely attached. Except for reel #2 which is missing the Tail.Otherwise this print is in excellent condition. I am aware that there were a limited amount of prints for this feature in 1998 that were released with the old Technicolor Dye transfer. I went down a rabbit hole trying to see if this is one of those however I have been unable to prove that. So maybe if you are more educated on the topic you could tell by the pictures!Whoever buys will also receive a small bonus gift that I will include in the Package.
