The Chinese Must Go! was the slogan of the Working Mans Party of California. On July 24 1877 at one of the parties rallies ,Denis Kearney incited a riot. Party men gathered for a demonstration on Mission Street at the United States Mint , near the Woolen Mills , a major Chinese employer. The next evening a crowd gathered at the Pacific Mail Steamers Dock , where Chinese workers arrived from Asia. The demonstrators set fire to a lumber yard and attacked the firefighters. Police shot four rioters dead. Printer - publisher I.N. Choynski who was one of the early antiquarian booksellers in San Francisco. 1877-1882 Broadside printed in Black on thicker cards stock paper.
