Description: Here is a nice Hand Carved Antique Style Ira Hudson Virginia Influence Yellowlegs Shore Bird Decoy carved by my myself (Sam McKamie). It is carved with pocket knife and rasp from cedar after I did the initial sawing and drilling. This beach bird is of one piece construction with a hardwood bill, tack eyes, and the wings are relief carved as shown in the pictures. This beach bird is painted in a gunning style like those decoys of old. Stand is included. This bird measures 12 5/8 inches long from the tip of the tail to tip of the bill, 13 inches tall, and from 1 1/2 inch stock. It will make a fine addition to any collection.
