Description: Hawkes Cut Glass Tall Compotes Stunning pair of American Brilliant Period (APB) cut glass compotes, signed Hawkes. Believed to be cut on a Steuben blank with an intricate deeply cut fan pattern that is separated by miter cuts to alternate with geometric star cutting. The bowl of the each compote is designed with gently undulating curves at the rims and the stems are twisted with cutting down to the starburst stem. Measures 8" high6 5/8" diameter Marked Hawkes on the base Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration. One compote has a line on the inside of the stem. There is typical wear (very light scratching) to the base(s) and may be typical manufacturing imperfections.
