Description: This artwork is one of Germany's most successful bombers. The He-111.Print is autographed by the Luftwaffe pilot who flew this bomber on the Russian Front logging many hours in the air. He was also shot down and was rescued at the last minute from the Russians by a German tank crew. Great story of a very brave man. The Germans flew these bombers only a hundred and fifty feet at times off the ground when attacking the front lines of the advancing Russians. The pilot told me that it was a rush flying as fast as possible as low ass possible and then pulling up at the last minute dropping their bombs right in the faces of their enemy! The last photo shows Wilhelm by his bomber. His bomber was shot down and they lost one of their crew, this photo was taken by the German tank commander who saved Wilhelm and the rest of his crew. Print size is 12x18".This print retails for $75.00 on my web page and with other retail shops. I am an aviation artist and historian.
