Used by more orchestra professionals than any other bassoon, the sound of an older Heckel is unlike anything else in the bassoon world. This one was built right around when Heckel had started to make thicker walled instruments with a more robust sound. This instrument is in excellent condition. It has just been completely gone over by my master technician and is completely ready to play - please see a video of this bassoon being played on YouTube. Finish is original and the Heckel brand is clearly visible on all joints. The Heckel stamp in the boot is clear. This instrument has original keywork but has recently had high D and E keys added. Gorgeous bassoon, gorgeous player! Includes a Wiseman case that was brand new but got a little scuffed when this bassoon was stolen (!) and then recovered (!!) by the Seattle Police.
